'No7 Match Made Concealer' - Review
Hello Readers,
Today's review is going to be on the 'No7 Match Made Concealer'. I have been using this concealer a lot lately as I wanted to give this a fair test and review.
I came across this concealer in my draw, but also in my 'Elle Magazine' this month as "Elle Beauty Awards Best Of British". This gave me hype to give it a try. No7 is a brand sold exclusively to Boots in the UK. I like the range of No7 as they use a machine to match your skin tone, to their shades available. In my case I was 'Cool Ivory'. I do like to use my concealer to highlight so I have gone for a lighter shade, which is called 'Cool Vanilla'.
There is a range of 17 different true skin shades. I think this is very good for a drug store concealer. As well as making it a matching to the skin shade as possible. You get 4.5g of product. It is also a stick concealer. The retail price is £8.
I don't normally get on with stick concealers as I always find them very cakey and always quite hard to apply. This concealer is very different. The formula is soft and glides onto the skin quite nicely. It gives a smooth application without creasing. As it is a true skin shade, it hides blemishes and redness very well. I wouldn't say this has a full coverage, but more of a light to medium. This gives you more of a natural look rather than looking heavy.

I find that with stick concealers, they can get quite oily quickly. The No7 concealer does state that it is shine free and lasts all day. Only judging on my own skin complexion (oily), it did shine under my eyes and around the forehead area. I kind of knew this may happen, so I did powder down after the application.

No7 Match Made Concealer states that it can last up to 16 hours. I only tested this for about 6-8 hours. I did see a bit of a difference at the end of the day. From the first application leaving my under eyes light, to checking it at the end of the day to see a little shine and a lighter coverage.
The packaging is very light and easy to take with you if you are going out and about. I would say it is almost the same size as a lipstick, so very easy to travel with, and easy to put in your bag. I like the plan white case that it is in. This gives it a very simple touch.
To apply the concealer is very easy. You just remove the lid and whined up the product. I mainly used this for under my eyes. Due to the packaging being slanted, I felt like this did glide better under my eyes, so that was a massive bonus for me.

My negatives about this concealer is the price. I think £8 for the amount of product that you get is a bit much. I also feel the coverage could be slightly better. On one of the days when I tried this product I used it as a base to apply another concealer over the top, just to see if that would give me more coverage. You can also build up the coverage with this concealer, but this is when I found it to start looking cakey. I also used both a brush and beauty blender to see which one gave the best coverage.
I would recommend this concealer to try. I feel like the brand itself is very user friendly. I like the way there is a machine to help you choose your right shade. I am looking forward to using the foundation that matched my shade. But over all, this concealer is very good for a day where you do not want to wear too much make up.
