'Lottie London - Selfie Ready Foundation' - Review

Hello Readers,

Yes... I know... It's another foundation review! I've been sorting out my foundation and concealer draw and I have so many products I need to review. While sorting out what to blog about, I completely forgot the 'Lottie London - Selfie Ready' foundation, and how amazing it is, and how much I have fallen back in love with it. Since finding this again, it has been my go to this week. Let's get into the post to find out why.

First of all this foundation is from the brand Lottie London. Some people may not know, but Lottie Tomlison is a make-up artist and is the half sister of Louis Tomlinson (former One Direction band member). The brand originally started with brushes, tools and nail products, before moving on to make-up. Personally this is one of my favorite brands in the drug store. The products are great, the prices are reasonable, what's not to love?

Back to the foundation. It's available in 10 different shades. I use the shade Ivory. On looking at their website, maybe it could expand on the shade range a bit more. It could do with adding more deep / darker shades as most brands are moving forward in releasing more shades.

This is a liquid foundation with 28ml of product. Its states that it's a "water based foundation enriched with vitamin C". Don't be alarmed! It's not like a loose, watery consistency, its quite thick but very easy to bend out with minimal effort of blending. It also feels very light weight on the skin.

Described as a matte foundation (which I love). Dries very quickly, but gives you enough time to blend over the face before it sets. The coverage on the bottle states medium. I would agree with this, however it can be build-able to give you more of a medium to full coverage.

I find that with the coverage it hides my redness and blemishes. It also works well on oily skin. The only skin complexion that I think would struggle with this is dry skin. Where it dries very quick and is very matte, I would suggest using an oil based primer to help make it work, and adapt it to your skin complexion.

'Selfie Ready' has a very soft scent. It's not a strong perfumed smell, or a chemical one, but it smells very fresh. This makes it really nice to wear.

The packaging is travel friendly, as it is quite small. I love the shape of the bottle. The design is simple and stylish. I like that it gives you the feel of,, 'what you see is what you get'. I like the play on words in the name 'Selfie Ready'. It's wording is current, and makes you feel that this is all you need to get ready. An extra plus as well is that it is vegan friendly.

I am trying to find a negative for this foundation which is quite hard as I love this brand and product so much. But if I am really picky and needed think of something it would be the shade range. I think 10 shades are just not enough. The foundation itself, I can't fault.

Without a doubt, I would recommend this foundation. It is in my top 5 favorite foundations. The coverage is perfect for my skin. It stays matte for a long time. Looks amazing in photos. The price is affordable retailing at £6.95. The brand has excellent products that are worth the money. This is defiantly a foundation that needs to be added to your collection.
